Sponsorship Guidelines
Airnorth has a strong commitment to supporting communities within our networks. This support is provided through the Airnorth sponsorship program which is open to organisations with activities and/or events that are based within these networks.
Sponsorship may be offered as free of charge (FOC) airline ticket/s. The value of each airline ticket is based on the full economy fare (including GST, taxes and charges) for the particular sector - with the exception of international flights, where the passenger may be required to pay departure tax.
Please be aware that the 'conditions of travel' for sponsorship ticket/s may be different to those on ticket/s purchased through normal retail avenues.
Sponsorship can not be provided in the form of cash.
Airnorth receives many requests from sporting teams, educational centres and other organisations that may require travel for large numbers of passengers. Whilst applications for sponsorship may be considered, Airnorth does also offer group discounts for 10 or more adult passengers.
To find out more please email reservations@regionallink.com.au
Airnorth can also provide competitive rates for private charters and can tailor flights to your requirements. Contact charter@regionallink.com.au
Applications for sponsorship will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, however to assist you in submitting an application, some general guidelines are outlined below.
Sponsorship WILL NOT generally be offered to:
- Organisations which do not provide a written application.
- Activities/events which do not occur in a community within the Airnorth network.
- Activities/events which have already occurred and require retrospective funding.
- Organisations that are seeking, or have confirmed sponsorship from a competing airline.
- Individuals requiring personal assistance.
- Political or religious fundraising campaigns/events.
Sponsorship MAY generally be awarded to organisations that can provide a selection of the following:
- Opportunities which reflect Airnorth objectives and values.
- Creative ideas for the utilisation of sponsorship.
- Exclusivity as an airline sponsor.
- Cross-promotional opportunities with other sponsors.
- Naming rights.
- On-site sales opportunities.
- High level of reach and frequency.
- Opportunities for exposure of the Airnorth logo/brand.
- Media coverage highlighting the Airnorth logo/brand.
- Opportunity to promote a specific destination/fare.
- Opportunity to generate increased demand for air travel.
GST Implications
Due to the GST implications on sponsorship arrangements, it is necessary to value any sponsorship offered at market value and to exchange tax invoices between the organisations concerned.
In some instances support may be provided without benefits to Airnorth. This support will be deemed a 'donation' and a tax invoice is not required for GST purposes.
